Managing Projects and Tracking in Change Management
Learn how to classify projects or repositories, assign owners, and stop tracking systems in Sprinto’s Change Management module.
Classifying projects and assigning owners ensures clear accountability and better organisation in your change management processes. When a system, project, or repository is no longer relevant, you can stop tracking it to keep your dashboard clean and focused.
Classify a Project or Repository
Go to Data Library > Change Management.
Select the relevant system (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
Click Classify next to the project or repository name.
Choose the appropriate classification (e.g., In Scope, Out of Scope, Production, Staging).
Click Save.
Assign an Owner
In Change Management, locate the project or repository.
Click Assign Owner.
Search for and select the relevant Sprinto user.
Click Save.
The assigned owner will now appear alongside the project or repository.
Stop Tracking a System, Project, or Repository
In Change Management, select the system containing the project or repository.
Click Manage.
Click Manage next to the item you want to stop tracking.
Select Stop Tracking.
Confirm the action.
Tips
Use consistent classifications to make filtering and reporting easier.
Assign owners with active involvement in the project for accurate oversight.
Stop tracking systems promptly when they’re no longer in use to keep data relevant.
