Get a complete overview of Sprinto's People section to manage staff, roles, scoping, onboarding, and compliance tasks efficiently.

The People section in Sprinto enables you to manage and monitor all staff-related information essential to your organisation’s security and compliance programmes. This area acts as the central hub for importing staff data, assigning responsibilities, tracking onboarding progress, and ensuring that all relevant personnel are appropriately scoped, trained, and aligned with your audit requirements.


Key Functions

The People section is organised into the following tabs:

1. Staff

Import and manage staff members from HRMS tools or identity providers such as Google Workspace, Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID. You can also add staff manually or upload via CSV. This tab allows you to:

  • View and filter staff by onboarding and scoping status

  • Add and manage custom fields

  • Assign roles, reporting managers, and reviewers

  • Upload hiring evaluation and background verification reports

  • Offboard staff or mark them as not in scope

2. Monitoring

Track whether staff have completed key onboarding requirements, including:

  • Security training

  • Policy acknowledgment

  • Device reporting

Sprinto displays status indicators to help you identify gaps and automate reminders.

3. Security Roles

Create, assign, and manage security roles that define access levels and responsibilities across various compliance functions.

4. Roles & Responsibilities

Assign individuals or groups as owners of compliance tasks or requirements. You can select roles manually or automate this mapping through integrations.

5. Org Chart

View your organisation's hierarchy, as sourced from HR systems or manually uploaded org charts. This visual representation clarifies team structures, reporting lines, and leadership levels.

6. Configuration

Control how staff data is imported and managed. This tab includes:

  • Staff information provider integrations (e.g., HRMS, IDP)

  • Staff scoping automation via provider groups

  • Org chart settings

  • Staff onboarding message templates

  • Background verification system management

  • Custom field creation

Merger and acquisition integration

During an acquisition, import new staff from the acquired entity’s HRMS. Then, scope them, assign roles, and track onboarding progress via a unified dashboard.

Map individuals or groups to specific controls, policies, or evidence responsibilities using the Roles & Responsibilities tab to reduce accountability gaps.
