Zoho Vault Integration

Connect Zoho Vault with Sprinto to automate access reviews, monitor user access, and maintain compliance using OAuth-based integration.

The Zoho Vault integration in Sprinto enables automated access reviews by syncing user access data from your Zoho Vault account.

This integration is powered via Truto, a third-party integration platform that provides a unified API layer. Sprinto does not directly connect to Zoho Vault APIs.

Using this integration, Sprinto helps you:

  • Track user access to Zoho Vault

  • Monitor roles and account status

  • Ensure access is revoked for offboarded users

  • Maintain compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001

How it Works

Sprinto integrates with Zoho Vault using a secure OAuth 2.0 flow via Truto.

Once connected:

  1. You authenticate using your Zoho Vault admin account

  2. You select the correct data centre region

  3. Truto handles the OAuth exchange and API communication

  4. Sprinto retrieves user access data via Truto’s unified APIs

  5. Access review workflows are automatically enabled

All data access is read-only and used strictly for compliance monitoring.

Sprinto check for Zoho Vault

Following are the available Sprinto checks for Zoho Vault integration:

Sprinto check
Reference procedure

Zoho Vault access should be removed for offboarded user

User should be identified

User access to critical system should be valid

Permissions and Data Access

Permissions Required

  • Access Type: Admin access to Zoho Vault account

  • Role Required: Admin user with full access

No manual API scope configuration is required. Truto manages permissions internally after authentication.

Data Collected by Sprinto

Sprinto retrieves the following user data:

  • Primary email

  • Username

  • Status (active/inactive)

  • Roles

This data is used for access reviews and compliance checks.

APIs Used by Sprinto

Sprinto uses Truto’s unified API layer to fetch data from Zoho Vault.

Truto API Endpoints

Endpoint
Purpose

GET /unified/user-directory/users

Fetch user directory

GET /unified/user-directory/organizations

Retrieve organisation details

GET /unified/user-directory/workspaces

Fetch workspace data (if applicable)

GET /unified/user-directory/groups

Retrieve group data (if applicable)

Important Considerations

  • You must select the correct data centre region during setup

  • Incorrect region selection can cause connection or sync failures

  • Zoho Vault integration does not require manual API configuration

  • All communication is handled via Truto

Prerequisites

Before setting up the integration, ensure:

  • You have a Zoho Vault account

  • You have admin access to the account

  • You know your data centre region

  • You can access your Zoho Vault instance (for example, https://vault.zoho.com or regional equivalent)

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to the integration

  1. Log in to the Sprinto dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings → Integrations.

  3. In the All tab, search for Zoho Vault.

  4. Click Connect.

Step 2: Review permissions and data

  1. A drawer will open showing:

    • Permissions required

    • Data used by Sprinto

  2. Review the information.

  3. Click Next.

Step 3: Confirm integration setup

  1. Review the setup instructions.

  2. Select I have admin access to my Zoho Vault account.

  3. Click Connect to Zoho Vault.

Step 4: Select data centre and connect

  1. A pop-up will open for OAuth connection

  2. Select your Data Centre Region:

    • US

    • EU

    • India (IN)

    • Australia (AU)

    • Japan (JP)

    • Canada (CA)

  3. Learn how to find your region.

  4. Click Connect.

Step 5: Authorise access

  1. Sign in to your Zoho Vault account.

  2. Review the requested permissions.

  3. Click Continue.

Once authorised, the integration is successfully established.

Post-Connection Flow

After successful connection:

  • Sprinto initiates an initial user sync

  • User access data is indexed for compliance monitoring

  • Access review workflows become available

  • Zoho Vault can be added as a critical system if required

If not automatically added:

  1. Go to Access → Overview

  2. Click Add Critical System

  3. Search for Zoho Vault

  4. Add it to enable monitoring

Troubleshooting

1. Integration fails during setup

  • Verify you have admin access to Zoho Vault

  • Ensure the selected data centre region is correct

2. No data syncing

  • Wait for the initial sync to complete

  • Reconnect the integration if needed

  • Confirm that users exist in Zoho Vault

  • Ensure the correct region is selected during setup

  • Reconnect if the data centre setting was incorrect or changed

Additional Notes

  • Zoho Vault integration is fully managed via Truto

  • No manual API key or scope configuration is required

  • Authentication is handled securely using OAuth 2.0
