Creating and Managing Checks
4. How do I create a new compliance check?
Select Create check and choose one of the options:
Add from template
Create custom check
Bulk upload via CSV
5. Can I assign a different owner to an existing check?
Yes. Open the check details and update the Owner field as needed.
6. What is the difference between automated and workflow checks?
Automated checks are powered by integrations (e.g., AWS, GitHub)
Workflow checks are manual tasks assigned to users (e.g., HR verification)
7. Can I create custom checks?
Yes. Use the Create custom check option to define your own title, instructions, frequency, and owner. Note: This may be restricted to certain plan tiers.
Investigating Tasks
8. How do I know if a check is failing?
The Task Status column shows whether a check is Passing, Due, Failing, or Critical. Click View & Fix to investigate.
9. Can I upload evidence or make changes to workflow checks?
Yes. You can upload responses, assign reviewers, and update check frequency from the check details panel.
10. What does "Checks Requiring Attention" mean?
It refers to monitors that have at least one failing, due, or critical task.
Filters and Integrations

13. What happens if an integration is missing or misconfigured?
You’ll see an alert in the summary bar or status column. Select Add Integrations to Monitor to fix the issue.
