Install Dr. Sprinto App & Report Device Health Status
The following guide will help you download and install Dr. Sprinto on your device and report your device health status through the Sprinto employee portal. Dr. Sprinto is Sprinto's native Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. Dr. Sprinto is secure and supported on multiple operating systems. Upon installation, Dr. Sprinto tests your device's security configuration and highlights any security gaps you need to update before you report your device's health on the Sprinto employee portal.

Procedure
Follow the below procedure to install and run the Dr. Sprinto app.
Download Dr. Sprinto app and install it on the device
Microsoft Windows:
Download the latest version of the Dr. Sprinto app.
Double-click the downloaded file to proceed with the installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. If you encounter any installation errors, refer to the FAQs for resolution.
Apple Mac:
Download the latest version of the Dr. Sprinto app (for Intel or Apple Silicon).
Double-click the downloaded file to proceed with the installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Linux:
Download the latest version of the Dr. Sprinto app.
To proceed with installation, you may need to add execute permission to the downloaded file. Right-click on the downloaded file, select Permissions from the menu and make the file executable.
Open the installed Dr. Sprinto app.
Click Share device info to report your device health on Sprinto. This opens Sprinto’s employee portal on your default web browser. If you are not already logged in, you may need to log in with your credentials.
Select a device owner option, and click Connect device.
Click Scan to initiate the device configuration check.
Dr. Sprinto highlights if any security configuration does not meet the recommended configuration.
If Dr. Sprinto detects any misconfiguration, click on the configuration to get details about the required action.
Once you’ve updated your device's configuration, return to Dr. Sprinto and click Re-scan. You should see a green check mark against all device configurations.
On the Sprinto employee portal, Click Report Device under Your Devices section.
Click Fetch to retrieve your device’s latest health status from the Dr. Sprinto app. Ensure that Dr. Sprinto remains running in the background during the process.
Select the device owner option, then click Report device.
FAQs related to Installation
Linux:
You may need to add execute permission to the downloaded file. Right-click on the AppImage, select "Properties," and make the file executable.
Windows:
If you encounter a warning saying, "File is not commonly downloaded," ignore it. Dr. Sprinto is safe for your machine.
Windows Defender SmartScreen might block the installation. Click "More info" and select "Run anyway."
In some cases, right-click on the installer, select "Properties," choose "Unblock" against the Security check, and apply changes.
Post-Installation
After completing the steps, Dr. Sprinto should be successfully installed on your device.
Data Privacy:
Information Collected: Dr. Sprinto's checks include OS version, screen lock status, and hard disk encryption to ensure SOC 2 compliance. Results are displayed in the app interface and are never sent without explicit permission.
Data Transmission: Dr. Sprinto sends device information to Sprinto servers only when you explicitly request it. This occurs when you click "Fetch Device Status" in the Sprinto app or "Record Device Status" in Dr. Sprinto.
Usage Tips:
Dr. Sprinto doesn't need to run continuously; periodic checks are encouraged for updates.
