Certn Integtation
Certn is a software service that specializes in background screening and verification solutions. It offers a range of tools and services to help organizations make informed decisions when hiring or onboarding employees, tenants, or other individuals.
How does this integration help Sprinto
Integration with background verification services helps Sprinto meet the compliance requirements for maintaining a track of background verification checks for all staff members. Sprinto retrieves background verification reports of staff members and matches them against the staff members added to your Sprinto account. If any employee lacks a background verification report, Sprinto activates a check for that staff member.
Sprinto checks for Certn integration
Following are the Sprinto checks available for Certn integration:
Background check via Certn should be completed
This check activates against a staff member if no background verification report is detected.
To fix this check, complete the background verification for the respective staff member on the integrated service provider platform. Once done, Sprinto detects the changes and sets the check status to “Passing.”
Before your begin
Ensure you have “Admin” access on the Certn account you wish to integrate on Sprinto.
Log in on Sprinto as administrator.
Integrate Sprinto with Certn
Follow the below steps to integrate Sprinto with Certn:
Register Sprinto for Certn service agreement.
Open the Certn service agreement form.
Fill out the details in the form and submit it.
Get API Key from the Certn account.
Log in to the Certn account using your credentials or available Single Sign-On (SSO) options.
Go to Settings > Teams Setting, and select API keys from the left-side navigation bar.
Click on API keys and generate a new API key.
Copy the generated API key and save it securely. We will need this key on Sprinto to build the integration.
Integrate Intrduder on Sprinto.
Go to Security Hub > Settings > Integrations > Available, and click Connect next to Certn.
Read the on-screen instructions, and click Next.
Select the acknowledgment checkbox, enter the API Key copied from Step 1, and click Connect. Note: Ensure you have a pop-up window enabled on your web browser.
Add Certn as background verification source.
Go to Security Hub > People > Configuration, and click Configure/ Manage.
Click + Add background verification system.
Click Add next to Certn from the Add background verification system page.
After completing Step 4, allow 15 to 20 minutes for Sprinto to finish the data syncing process. Sprinto may take a few hours to evaluate the synced data and activate relevant Sprinto checks. If needed, go to Security Hub > People > Configuration and click Manage next to background verifications to refresh the retrieved data from Certn.
