# Upload Org Charts and Background Verification Reports

The **Upload** actions in the People section allow you to manually submit critical staff-related artefacts, such as org charts and BGV reports, when automatic syncing or integrations are not feasible. These uploads help maintain evidence continuity and ensure all required records are tracked within Sprinto.

***

### 1. Upload Org Chart Manually

You can periodically upload your org chart if you don’t want to use automatic reporting manager-based generation.

#### To upload an org chart:

1. Go to **People > Configuration**.
2. In the **Org chart** section, click **Manage**.
3. Select **Periodically upload an org chart**.
4. Choose your upload frequency (e.g. every 6 or 12 months).
5. Upload your chart file (accepted formats: `.docx`, `.pdf`, `.xlsx`, `.zip`, `.csv`, `.jpeg`,  and so on).
6. Click **Finish**.

{% hint style="info" %}
The uploaded file is saved as compliance evidence in the system.
{% endhint %}

### 2. Upload Background Verification Reports

You can upload BGV reports manually for staff members if you are not using an integrated provider.

#### To upload a report:

1. Go to **People > Staff**.
2. Select a staff member from the **In scope** tab.
3. Scroll to **Background Verification** and click **Add report** (or **Update report**).
4. Upload the document (PDF, DOC, image, or ZIP format).
5. Click **Save**.

{% hint style="info" %}
Uploaded reports satisfy background check requirements in onboarding and monitoring workflows.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.sprinto.com/data-library/people/dashboard-actions/upload-org-charts-and-background-verification-reports.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
