View and Manage Criteria
Learn how to view, search, filter, and manage criteria within a compliance framework in Sprinto.
Criteria are the individual compliance requirements that make up a framework. Managing these criteria ensures your organisation’s controls are mapped correctly and that compliance tracking is accurate. Sprinto allows you to search, filter, update scope, and view details for each criterion within a framework.
View Criteria in a Framework
Log in to the Sprinto Dashboard and navigate to Compliance > Frameworks.
In the Enabled Frameworks section, click the framework you want to view.
Review the criteria list
The criteria table displays:
Criteria Code and Name – Identifies the requirement.
Scope – Indicates if it’s In scope or Not in scope.
Mapped Controls – Shows the number of controls linked.
Readiness – Displays completion percentage.
Search and Filter Criteria
Search – Enter a keyword or criteria code in the search bar to find specific items.
Filter by Category – Narrow results to categories such as Security, Privacy, or Risk Management.
Filter by Scope – Show only In scope or Not in scope criteria.
Manage a Criteria
Click the criteria name in the list to open its details panel.
Click Edit criteria where you can edit the following -
Criterion code
Criterion description
Criterion order
Criterion group
Criterion section
Update scope
Click Manage scope.
Give a description for marking this criteria not in scope and click Got it, mark not in scope.
View mapped controls
See all controls linked to the criterion, including their type (automated or workflow) and monitoring status.
Map Controls to Criteria
Navigate to Compliance from the left navigation panel.
Open the required Framework.
On the Framework details page, locate the desired criterion and select it.
In the Criteria details panel, click Manage next to Mapped to X controls.
In the Map controls window:
Use the search bar to find the control by name or filter by Domain.
Select the checkbox next to the control(s) you want to map.
Click Map selected controls to save your changes.
The selected controls are now associated with the chosen criterion.
Unmap Controls from Criteria
Navigate to the relevant Framework and select the criterion you want to update.
In the Criteria details panel, click Manage next to Mapped to X controls.
In the Map controls window:
Uncheck the box for any control you want to unmap.
Click Map selected controls to confirm.
The control(s) will no longer be associated with the criterion.
