HiBob Integration
HiBob is a modern Human Resource Management System (HRMS) tool designed to streamline the people management operations for businesses. HiBob comes packed with comprehensive tools for managing complete employee lifecycle.
How does this integration help Sprinto
The integration primarily helps Sprinto retrieve staff-related information such as name, email address, job roles, onboarding dates, reporting managers, etc. These details are crucial for managing compliance needs related to people management. Sprinto initiates relevant checks if any of the required information needs to be updated to ensure compliance framework requirements are met.
Sprinto checks for HiBob
Below is the list of Sprinto checks available for HiBob and reference procedures on how to fix these checks:
Reporting manager should be assigned
All in-scope staff members should have an assigned reporting manager.
Note: Top management roles like CEO, CTO, etc. are exceptions.
Date of joining for new staff should be provided
Define the joining date for all newly onboarded staff members.
Before you begin
Log in on Sprinto as administrator.
You need a paid account on HiBob to build integration on Sprinto.
Ensure that you have the “Admin” access on HiBob account you want to integrate on Sprinto.
Integrate Sprinto with HiBob
Set up Service User on your HiBob account.
Log in to HiBob using your credentials or available Single Sign-on (SSO) options.
Go to Settings > Integrations and click Manage next to Service Users.
Create a new service user, and copy the Service User ID and Token. We will need these details later for building integration.
Create permission group on your HiBob account.
On your HiBob account, go to Settings and click Permissions Groups.
Click Create group.
On Create group page, enter the following details:
Group name: Give a name to the permission group.
Tags (optional): Select the suitable tags to define the permission group.
Description(optional): Define the purpose of your permission group.
For Group members, choose Select people by condition, then click Edit. Note: Ensure that the pop-up window is enabled on your browser.
On Select people by condition page, take the following actions:
If there is any existing condition, delete the condition.
From Add specific employees drop-down menu, select the Service User you have created in Step 1, then click Apply.
On Create group page, click Create. If any Pop-up appears, click Confirm to confirm the group creation.
On People section, choose Select people by condition, then click Edit.
On Select by condition window, click Edit and apply the following conditions:
Lifecycle Status
Equals
Hired, Employed, and Terminated
Click Apply to save the changes.
On People data, add the following permissions:

On Selected people by condition window, select Service user for Add Specific Employees option.
Click Apply to save the changes.
Integrate HiBob on Sprinto.
Go to Security Hub > Settings > Integrations > Active integration, then click Connect next to HiBob.
On Integration page, select the acknowledgement checkbox, then click Connect to HiBob Note: Ensure that the pop-up window is enabled on your browser.
On HiBob window, select the I want to integrate with HiBob Token and User ID option, then click Next.
Enter the HiBob User ID and Token from Step 1, then click Submit.
Configure HiBob on Sprinto.
Go to Security Hub > People > Configuration, and click Manage.
On Staff information provider page, click Add staff.
On Add staff member page, select Add staff from HRMS then click the details button next to HiBob.
On Add HiBob as a provider page, click Add HiBob. Note: You should see “Connected” highlighted next to HiBob. This means the HiBob account is connected and ready for Syncing information.
Final step
Note: After completing Step 3, wait 15 to 20 mins to let Sprinto finish the data syncing process. Sprinto takes up to 24 hours to evaluate the synced data and activate the relevant Sprinto checks.
If required, go to Security hub > People > Configuration, click Manage, and then click Sync next to HiBob to refresh the synced information.
