How it Works
Learn how to set up providers, launch campaigns, track staff progress, and manage InfoSec training in Sprinto.
The Trainings module in Sprinto supports the full lifecycle of information security awareness training across your organisation. You can assign mandatory training programmes to staff, track their completion, upload custom content, and integrate third-party providers such as KnowBe4 and Curricula. Training data is continuously monitored to help you meet compliance requirements from frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
1. Set up a security training provider
To get started, configure a training provider. You can:
Use Sprinto’s built-in training provider: Select from preloaded training programmes or upload your own training slides (PDF) and Typeform-based tests.
Connect an external provider: Choose KnowBe4 or Curricula. The integration syncs campaign and learner completion data to Sprinto.
2. Configure training modules
Once the provider is set up, you can:
Preview any of the available training modules.
Enable or disable specific modules (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS).
Upload your own PDF slides or assessments (for Sprinto provider only).
Define applicability by employee group or staff type.
All training modules can include optional or mandatory tests.
3. Create training campaigns
Sprinto supports two types of campaigns:
Campaign Type
Trigger
Onboarding training
Automatically assigned to new joiners
Periodic training
Assigned manually or on a recurring basis
To launch a campaign manually:
Go to the Overview tab and click Start a new campaign.
Name the campaign.
Select or edit the list of training programmes to include.
Click Start training campaign.
4. Monitor completion and progress
Use the Sprinto tab to:
View the list of active campaigns.
Track staff-wise completion under the Training Status section.
Recall campaigns if modules need to be updated or reassigned.
Use the Monitoring tab to:
Add automated workflow checks for training completion.
Track campaign coverage across all active staff.
View integration checks for KnowBe4 and Curricula data.
5. Staff complete the training
Staff members receive a training notification via the employee dashboard. They:
Access the training drawer via the dashboard.
Complete all training slides.
Take the associated test (if enabled).
Submit acknowledgment once the test is passed.
Completion status is updated in real time under the Training Status tab.
6. Take compliance action
Sprinto links security training status to compliance controls and checks. You can:
Automatically pass/fail checks based on campaign status.
Trigger alerts if any module remains incomplete.
Export staff-wise training logs for audit evidence.
