AWS GovCloud Integration
Sprinto connects to your AWS GovCloud account via access keys. This access must have specific access to audit all the resources in your AWS account. This article provides a step-by-step guide to setting up the integration between Sprinto and AWS GovCloud.
Setting up the Integration:
Step 1: Log in to Sprinto with your Credentials.
Step 2: Under Security Hub go to Settings. This is on the left-hand side bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Click on Available Integrations in the sub-menu.
Step 4: Search for AWS GovCloud and click on connect next to AWS GovCloud.
Step 5: The following steps will guide you in creating these access keys in your AWS account. Before proceeding, make sure that you have sufficient privileges to create access keys.
Log in to your AWS GovCloud account console and go to IAM.
Go to the "Users" section in the IAM console, and click on "Add User".
Set the following details as specified below:
In the user name, type or copy: sprinto-audit
Check the option saying Access key - Programmatic access.
Click Next: Permissions.
In the Set Permissions screen, select Attach existing policies directly.
Search for SecurityAudit and select the role.
Optionally, if you want to setup CloudWatch alarms from Sprinto, search for CloudWatchFullAccess and select the resulting item.
Click Next: Tags.
Add tags if you wish. This is not mandatory.
Review and Create User.
Note: If you use any resources that are not covered in the scope of Security Audit, you may need to add them to the scope.
4. Open the created user from the list of users, navigate to Security Credentials tab.
5. In the Access keys, click on Create access key.
6. Copy the Access Key Id and Secret Access Key.
Step 6: Once ready, click on connect AWS below.
Step 7: On the next screen you will need to add the Access Key ID, Secret Access Key and Product AWS GovCloud Regions.
Once confirmed kindly click on Connect with AWS GovCloud Account and you will be redirected to AWS's login page wherein you need to enter credentials of the user with the above access and the integration will be set up.
