Sprinto check: Production application should redirect HTTP to HTTPS
The above Sprinto check fails if any product added to the company profile page has a production application URL that doesn’t redirect HTTP to HTTPS protocol.
By default, this check is assigned to the Infra Operations Person.
Purpose
This check ensures that all products listed on the Company Profile page use the secure HTTPS protocol.
How to fix
Follow these steps to resolve the pending check:
Access Pending Checks
Log in to the Sprinto admin portal with your credentials and navigate to Security Hub > Dashboard.
Select the Tasks tab and find the pending checks under the Company Products category.
Action Pending Checks
Click on the pending check that you need to address.
On the check details page, click Fix it next to the product you wish to update.
If required, you can view detailed check details or mark it as a special case. For more information, refer to Mark Sprinto Check as a Special Case.
On the Product Details page, enter a valid Product/Application URL in the respective field, then click Save Changes. Click Add URL for additional URL fields. Note: Ensure the URL includes the "http://" or "https://" as aprefix.
Configure your web server to listen on HTTPS (port 443) and redirect all HTTP (port 80) traffic to HTTPS.
Some applications/frameworks need additional configuration to redirect HTTP to HTTPS protocol. Do the required steps to configure it.
Test the setup by accessing the application over HTTP protocol and confirm it redirects it to HTTPS.
