The above-mentioned Sprinto check in Sprinto verifies that essential contacts is configured for the organization.
Purpose:
This check aims to ensure that a notification channel is configured for all critical notifications, such as Cloud billing, from the GCP. These notifications are sent to members with certain Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles by default. With Essential Contacts, you can customize who receives notifications by providing your list of contacts.

Before you begin
Ensure you have administrator privileges on the GCP account where you want to make configuration changes.
Updating via GCP Cloud CLI
Note: Sprinto check status gets updated to “Passing” if a contact has already been configured.
Log in to the GCP Console using your credentials.
Navigate to the Essential Contacts service.
Click Add Contact to create a new contact. Ensure the org selector at the top bar shows your organization name.
Enter the email address and confirm it in the respective fields.
Select the notification categories that the entered email address should receive.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Sprinto detects the configuration changes and sets the related Sprinto check’s status to “Passing.”
