Manage Your Audit
Learn how to edit audit details, manage requirements, upload evidence, and share audits in Sprinto after creation.
After you create an audit in Sprinto, you can make changes to the audit metadata, update or remove requirements, manage evidence and task assignments, and share the audit with your auditor.
This section walks you through all the modifications you can make after an audit has been created.
Edit Audit Details
You can update audit-level details from the Summary tab.
You can:
Edit the audit name
Change the auditor (if not yet shared)
Modify the evidence collection start and end dates (before audit is shared)
You cannot:
Change the framework (for Partner audits)
Change the audit type (Internal or External)
Once the audit is shared with an auditor, date fields and auditor selection become locked.
Edit or Remove Audit Requirements
You can modify or remove existing audit requirements depending on how they were added and the audit stage. The method to remove requirements differs based on whether they were:
Uploaded via CSV
Added using framework criteria
Added using mapped controls
Remove Requirements Uploaded via CSV
Go to the Requirements tab.
Locate the uploaded file listed under the Uploaded via CSV section.
Select the vertical ellipsis icon next to the file name.
Choose Remove file.
Confirm by selecting Remove in the dialog box.
This will delete all requirements associated with that specific file.
Remove Requirements Added by Framework Criteria
Go to the Requirements tab.
Select Edit next to the group labelled Added via framework criteria.
Identify the requirement(s) you want to remove.
Select the delete (trash bin) icon beside each.
Confirm by choosing Remove from audit.
Remove Requirements Added by Controls
Navigate to the Requirements tab.
Under the Added via controls section, select Edit.
Deselect the controls you want to remove.
Select Update audit to apply the changes.
Manage Evidence and Tasks
Each requirement in your audit can have associated evidence and task assignments.
You can:
Upload or replace evidence (during Evidence Collection or Internal Review stages)
Reassign tasks to different owners
Add comments or clarifications for each requirement
You cannot:
Upload or remove evidence once the requirement is Audited or Marked as Done by the auditor
Change requirement status once it is locked for audit review
Share Your Audit With an Auditor
Once all requirements are marked Ready for audit, you can share the audit with an external auditor.
To share:
Go to the Summary page.
Select Share with auditor.
Confirm the auditor and framework checklist.
Sprinto generates a read-only view of your audit that the auditor can access. Once shared, many fields become non-editable.
Understand Status-Based Restrictions
Some fields and actions become unavailable as your audit progresses through different stages.
