Create and Manage Targeted Training Requests

Assign targeted InfoSec training requests in Sprinto to individual staff or teams and track completion in real time.

Use the Requirements tab in the Trainings section to initiate targeted security training requests for specific employees or employee groups. This feature allows administrators to assign training outside of standard onboarding or periodic campaigns—typically in response to risk triggers, compliance requirements, or ad-hoc needs.

This function is available only when Sprinto is set as the training provider.


When to use a targeted request

  • A team requires refresher training after a policy change

  • A contractor group needs GDPR-specific training

  • A staff member needs additional training due to failed access or security reviews

Targeted training requests operate independently of broader campaigns and are recorded under the same audit trail.


Create a training requirement

  1. Navigate to: Apps > Trainings > Requirements tab

  2. Click Create a training requirement.

  3. In the drawer that appears:

    • Enter a Training requirement name

    • Select the applicable module or training reason

    • Tick the acknowledgement checkbox to confirm the request

  4. Click Create training requirement to assign it to selected staff.

The requirement will now appear in the Requirements tab, with associated tracking.


Staff experience

Once assigned, the targeted training:

  • Appears on the staff member’s dashboard under Pending Tasks

  • Opens a training drawer containing the module and associated test (if enabled)

  • Must be acknowledged before completion is recorded

Staff can only complete training once they have gone through the full module and test (if applicable).


Manage existing training requirements

To view or manage requests:

  1. Go to the Requirements tab

  2. Locate the relevant training requirement

  3. Click View status to:

    • See staff-level completion

    • Filter by incomplete or completed

    • Identify overdue or ignored requests

You cannot recall or modify a training request after it is issued. If changes are required, create a new request.


Result

Once the targeted training is completed and acknowledged by the staff member:

  • The training requirement is marked as complete

  • Evidence of completion is logged automatically

  • Training checks associated with this requirement are updated accordingly
