How to resolve Sprinto check for enabling AWS DynamoDB point in time recovery
About
Sprinto check: AWS DynamoDB point in time recovery should be enabled
Amazon DynamoDB Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) is a feature that provides continuous backups of your DynamoDB table data, allowing you to restore a table to a specific point in time. This can be incredibly useful for recovering data in case of accidental deletion or corruption. You can perform the restoration process using the DynamoDB console or the Amazon Command Line Interface (Amazon CLI). This guide will focus on using the DynamoDB console.

Ensure you have the “Admin” privilege on the AWS account to configure settings.
How to procedure
Before you proceed with the restoration process, ensure that you have already enabled Point-in-Time Recovery for your DynamoDB table. If not, follow these steps:
Sign in to the Amazon Web Services Management Console.
In the navigation pane on the left side, choose Tables.
Select the desired table.
Go to the Backups tab and locate the Point-in-time recovery (PITR) section.
Choose Edit and check the box next to Enable point-in-time-recovery.
Save the changes.
Now that Point-in-Time Recovery is enabled for your table, you can restore the table to a specific point in time.
Once the PITR is enabled on all the tables added on Sprinto, the assigned check status gets updated to “Passing.”
