Dr.Sprinto Data privacy questionnaires

What data types does Dr. Sprinto collect?

Dr Sprinto performs checks on your machine to gather specific information about your device. It verifies whether your operating system is up to date, checks if your screen lock is enabled to prevent unauthorized access when you're away, and ensures that your hard disk is encrypted. In essence, DrSprinto examines factors that contribute to securing the data on your device, ensuring SOC 2 compliance.

The results of these checks are presented within the app interface and remain confined to the app; they are never transmitted outside the application without your explicit permission.

What data does Dr. Sprinto send to the Sprinto server?

Dr.Sprinto sends no data to Sprinto servers by default. The app only transmits information about your device to another app or service when you explicitly initiate such action. For instance, clicking the "Fetch Device Status" button in the Sprinto app in your browser or selecting the "Record Device Status" button in DrSprinto triggers the sending of the current SOC 2 compliance check status to your browser.

Do I need to keep running Dr. Sprinto in the background constantly?

Keeping DrSprinto running continuously is not necessary. While the app doesn't require constant operation, it's beneficial to periodically run it. DrSprinto receives occasional updates, including checks, and running it from time to time ensures that your device remains in an up-to-date state for compliance purposes. Stay proactive in maintaining your device's security and compliance by running DrSprinto periodically.
