# How to Configure and Resolve Sprinto Workflow Check for Data Backup Restoration

Data backup restoration ensures that your organisation can recover critical information in case of data loss, corruption, or a ransomware incident. Conducting periodic restoration tests verifies the integrity of your backups and ensures business continuity during disruptions.

Sprinto’s **Data Backup Restoration** workflow check helps you document, validate, and provide evidence of your restoration activities. This evidence supports compliance frameworks such as **ISO 27001**, **SOC 2**, and **GDPR**, which mandate regular data recovery testing.

***

### Before You Begin

Ensure that you:

* Have **Administrator access** to your Sprinto account.
* Know your organisation’s **backup and restoration frequency** (e.g., quarterly, annually).
* Have access to **backup restoration logs, reports, or screenshots** showing successful validation.

***

### Configuring the Workflow Check

1. Log in to your **Sprinto** account as an Administrator.
2. Navigate to **Data Library → Workflow Checks**.
