# Fix Failing Monitors with Sprinto Assist

Sprinto Assist helps you identify and remediate failing monitors directly within external systems without switching between Sprinto and third-party applications.

When you open a supported provider, Sprinto Assist automatically detects the platform and surfaces the monitors that can be fixed. You can either follow the remediation steps manually or allow Sprinto AI to complete the fixes for you.

### Before you begin

Ensure that:

* The Sprinto Assist Chrome extension is installed and enabled in your browser.
* You are logged in to Sprinto in at least one browser tab.
* You have access to the external system where the monitor needs to be fixed (for example, AWS).

#### Note

Sprinto Assist uses your existing browser session and does not require additional permissions, service accounts, or separate authentication within external systems. Any actions performed by Sprinto AI are limited to the permissions already available to your logged-in user account.

### Supported monitors

Sprinto Assist supports AI-assisted remediation for monitors across:

* Infrastructure
* Change Management
* Access monitors
* Other external systems that require remediation actions

#### Note

Some monitors may not support AI-assisted remediation due to accuracy limitations. These monitors will not be labelled as **AI Assisted**.

### Enable gap alerts

1. Open your external provider console (for example, AWS).
2. Open the **Sprinto Assist** extension.
3. Click **Enable** next to Gap alerts are off to enable the fix it agent.

### Fix a single monitor

1. Open your external provider console (for example, AWS).
2. Open the **Sprinto Assist** extension.
3. Click **Fix failing monitors**.

Sprinto Assist automatically detects your environment and displays all applicable failing monitors.

4. Locate the monitor you want to remediate.
5. Click **Fix**.

The monitor details page displays:

* The monitor status
* Assigned owner
* Step-by-step remediation instructions
* Affected monitor instances

6. Select the account or instance that you want to remediate.
7. Click **Fix it for me**.

Sprinto AI will:

* Open the required browser tabs.
* Navigate through the remediation steps automatically.
* Complete the required actions.
* Pause and request your input whenever manual intervention is required.

### Fix multiple monitors simultaneously

You can also remediate multiple monitors in a single execution.

1. Open **Fix failing monitors**.
2. Select the monitors you want to remediate.
3. Click **Fix monitors**.

Sprinto Assist generates an execution plan.

The plan displays:

* The number of monitor instances identified
* The execution speed
* Any prerequisite questions that require your input

4. Review the plan.
5. To modify the execution speed, click the edit icon beside **Execution speed**.

You can choose from the following options:

6. Click **Save**.
7. Click **Confirm plan**.

Sprinto AI automatically begins the remediation process.

The agent will:

* Open the required browser tabs.
* Execute fixes in batches.
* Continue processing until all selected monitors are complete.

You do not need to manually start each batch.

Sprinto Assist automatically queues and executes the remaining monitors.

### Provide manual inputs

Some monitors require additional information before Sprinto AI can continue.

When this happens, the monitor displays an **Awaiting input** status.

To provide the required information:

1. Click **Awaiting input** next to the monitor.

2. Select the monitor that requires input.
3. Review the information being requested.
4. Enter the required values.

For example:

* Trail name
* S3 bucket information
* Other configuration values required to complete the remediation

5. Click **Submit**.

Sprinto AI will resume the remediation process automatically.

### Monitor execution progress

You can monitor the execution status at any time from the **Action Timeline** page.

The Action Timeline allows you to:

* View monitors currently in progress
* View monitors waiting for input
* View monitors waiting in the queue
* Pause all running executions
* Stop execution entirely

### Frequently asked questions

#### 1. Does Sprinto Assist require additional AWS permissions?

No. The Fix It agent is a browser extension and does not authenticate directly with the external system.

It runs in your browser, on the page you already have open, using your existing authenticated session. It does not use an API token, an OAuth grant to Sprinto, or a separate service account.

Sprinto Assist can only perform actions that your current session is already authorised to perform.

If your role does not have permission to make a change in the external system, Sprinto Assist cannot make that change either.

#### 2. Can I fix multiple monitors at once?

Yes. You can select multiple failing monitors and allow Sprinto AI to remediate them in batches automatically.

#### 3. Do I need to remain on the page while Sprinto AI runs?

No. Sprinto AI performs the remediation automatically and only asks for your input when required.

#### 4. What happens if Sprinto AI requires additional information?

The monitor enters an **Awaiting input** state. You can provide the requested information and Sprinto AI will automatically resume execution.

#### 5. How is Sprinto Assist different from integrations?

Sprinto Assist and integrations serve different purposes.

**Integrations** are server-side, read-only connections. They use scoped API permissions that run on Sprinto's backend to collect configuration data and evidence from connected systems. Integrations can observe resources, but they cannot make changes to them.

**Sprinto Assist** is client-side. It runs in your browser using your existing authenticated session and can perform remediation actions directly within external systems.

Sprinto Assist can only perform actions that your current session is already authorised to perform. If your role does not have permission to make a change, Sprinto Assist cannot make that change either.
