# Deel Integration
The Deel integration allows Sprinto to automatically sync your employee records from Deel to manage onboarding and offboarding statuses. Once connected, Sprinto automatically maps user data from Deel to relevant controls and checks, helping automate up to **10 controls** and **3 checks** within your compliance framework.
This integration supports two connection methods:
* Using your **Deel credentials** (recommended)
* Using an **API key or access token**

### **Prerequisites**
Before setting up the Deel integration, ensure the following:
* You have **admin access** to your Deel platform.
* Your Deel account is on a **paid plan**.
* You have access to **Settings → Integrations** in your Sprinto account.
* The integration uses **OAuth-based authentication** for secure authorisation.
**Permissions required:**
* People: Read Only
* Organisation: Read Only
* Job & Compensation Details: View access

In Deel, *Job Details* and *Compensation Details* are grouped under the same permission block.\
To retrieve a user’s **Job Title** or **Role**, you must enable the broader **View Job & Compensation Details** permission.
\
However, you can disable access to **Compensation Details** in the **Sprinto Dashboard**, ensuring Sprinto does not access or store salary or pay-related information.

**Data used by Sprinto:**
* Reporting Manager (Email ID)
* Employee ID
* First Name (and other basic profile details)

### **Steps to Connect Deel to Sprinto**
#### **Step 1: Locate the Deel integration**
1. Log in to your **Sprinto dashboard**.
2. Navigate to **Settings → Integrations**.
3. In the **Available** tab, use the search bar to find **Deel**.
4. Click **Connect** next to the Deel integration card.

#### **Step 2: Review permissions**
When the **Connect Deel** drawer opens:
* Review the permissions and data access information displayed.
* Click **Next** to continue.
* On the next screen, confirm that you have **admin access** to the Deel platform by selecting the checkbox.
* Click **Connect to Deel**.
You’ll now be prompted to choose how to authenticate your Deel account.

### **Authentication Options**
#### **Option 1: Use my credentials (recommended)**
1. Select **Use my credentials (recommended)**.
2. When prompted, click **I am an admin** to confirm admin privileges.
3. Choose **Production data** when asked which type of account you are connecting.
4. Review the access permissions — Sprinto Technology Inc. will have **read access** to:
* Employees
* Employments
* Groups
5. Click **Next**.
6. On the next screen, confirm that you are connecting your **Deel Production account**.
7. Click **Open window** to continue.
8. You’ll be redirected to the Deel login page. Log in with your **Deel admin credentials** (email, password, or Google sign-in).
9. Authorise Sprinto to complete the connection.
Once authorised, Sprinto will begin syncing employee data from Deel automatically.

#### **Option 2: Use my API key or access token**
1. Select **Use my API key or access token**.
2. When prompted, click **I am an admin** to confirm admin privileges.
3. Choose **Production data** as the account type.
4. Review the access permissions — Sprinto Technology Inc. will have **read access** to:
* Employees
* Employments
* Groups
5. Click **Next**.
6. In the next pop-up, you’ll be asked to enter your **Deel organisation token** (API key).
To generate this token:
1. Sign in to Deel and click **Apps & Integrations** in the left menu.
2. Select **Developer Center** from the upper-right corner.

If you do not see this option, contact your Deel account manager for access.

3. Under **API access tokens**, enable the **Organisation Tokens** toggle.
4. Click **Generate new token**.
5. Label your token and click **Next**.
6. Select **all scopes** and click **Generate**.
5. Copy the generated token and paste it into Sprinto.

8. Click **Next** in Sprinto to finalise the connection.

### **After Connecting Deel**
Once connected, Sprinto automatically:
* Syncs your employee list from Deel.
* Updates onboarding and offboarding statuses for users.
* Automates evidence for relevant HRMS-related controls and checks.
If any sync or permission errors occur, you can revisit **Settings → Integrations → Deel** and either fix or disable the integration.
